A sweet little note

 

I'm hoping that TJ doesn't take a look at this before we give it to him, but I had to share.  Isabelle wrote this sweet letter for her Daddy for his birthday.  He is going to love it!! 

 

Isabelle has been practicing daily with writing and she is doing amazing.

Santa came early...

What a wonderful day...

 listened to Christmas music, decorated our tree, and put our Christmas lights up.  That afternoon the kids received a call from Santa, they were so excited to hear from him.  He then told mommy to have the kids check the door.  The kids were so surprised that Santa brought them new pajamas and Elf on the Shelf.  He even left them a little note explaining how the elf will be keeping him posted on how they are behaving.  They were pretty excited that the elf was going to be staying with us.  We named him Snowflake aka Snowy.  Every morning they wake up and run around the house trying to find him.  It is so cute to see them look at him all day.  This is such a fun tradition.

Trip to Vancouver

I know this post is a little late, but I still had to share these pictures!!  We had so much fun on our visit.  Isabelle and Bronson loved spending time with their cousins. 

 I loved holding my two new nephews.  So precious!!

We celebrated an early Thanksgiving up there and Aunt Heather made some cute crafts for the kids.

Halloween 2012

We had so much fun this Halloween .  I think their costumes turned out pretty cute.  I knew for awhile that they were going to be Tinkerbell and Peter Pan, but when I went to go find them the Peter Pan costume was sold out everywhere.  So I had to get creative and make his costume.  Thank goodness for my sewing King (Tata), he truly is amazing!!  I have been doing a lot of crafts lately and my grandparents have been joining in on the fun.

Before we went out trick or treating in our neighborhood we met with some friends at Damonte Ranch High  School.  Every year they put on a fun little Halloween Event for families.  There are fun little games and trick or treating.

 After we played some games, we decided to g trick or treating at each classroom.  They do a different theme in each class.  This one was from Phineas and Ferb. 

 After the kids filled their buckets with candy we decided to go back home and take them out.  We only made it down to the cul de sac and back before they wanted to go home and pass out candy.  I truly think they enjoy passing out candy more then trick or treating. 

 

Now we just need to decide what to do with all of this candy. 

Full house

 

 

Last Saturday night we had a full house and it was so much fun.  My sister and I have been taking turns watching the kids so we can do date nights.  The kids just run around and play.  Next time hopefully they can stay the night.  

Swimming Lessons

The kids have been going to swim lessons for about a month.  I have always wanted to sign them up, but it is definitely very pricey and it is a 3 month minimum.  Bronsy is still young enough that he gets to be in the parent/child class and Isabelle has to be in her own class.  The first class we went to was absolutely amazing.  The kids loved it!!  I really enjoyed the bonding time with my little man.  They both went under water in their very first class.  After class, I called TJ and told him all about it.  I was so happy that the kids enjoyed it. 

So.......the next week we go and Isabelle is not so thrilled with swimming lessons anymore.  :(  She was crying and did not want anything to do with the water.  This made it very difficult for me.  I am weak when it comes to my children.  Silver Bear Swim School does the 3 month minimum for this exact reason.  Many children will like it in the beginning then will change their minds after the first few classes.  They really encourage parents to keep bringing the child to class no matter what.  They say after awhile they will enjoy again.  That second class was miserable!! Bronsy was loving every minute of it, but Isabelle was crying the whole time.  It was so hard for me to hear her cry.  I asked her after class why she was so upset and her reason was the water is too cold (the water is heated, so that was not the real reason).  I think that she realized that Bronsy gets to be with me and she doesn't understand why she has to do it by herself.  We all know Isabelle has some separation anxiety.  The next class I even bribed her to go (I know, that is not the best thing to do) but I was desperate.  I know she would love it if she would just give it another chance.  My bribing did not work though.  So I decided that the next week I was just going to surprise her and take her.  That did not work either.  As soon as she saw her bathing suit she is was in tears.  I ended up switching Bronson's class to that night, so daddy could go and Isabelle could watch. I thought this might help. 

 

As you can see Bronsy loves swim lessons.  So for now I am going to keep on trying with Isabelle, but I am not sure she is going to give in and try again.  She loved watching Bronson, but she says she is not doing swim lessons anymore.  This next week I am going to try to take her by herself, maybe this will help since she won't see me with Bronsy.  I will keep you posted!!

Im hooked on Pinterest!!

When I first found Pinterest I was never really into it, but now I am hooked.  There are so many wonderful ideas on there.  I have been busy trying new recipes, making fun crafts, and staying up on fashion.  Pinterest is AMAZING!!

My project today was making the kids calming jars.  We have always used the time out technique, but Bronsy does not like to sit there for very long.  When I saw this calming jar I thought this could work perfect.  So the point is for them to sit and watch the glitter fall while calming themselves down.  When all the glitter is at the bottom it is time to come out.  I think its a pretty clever idea!!  I might make my self one for some mommy relaxation time :)

Living in the wild wild west!!

Our neighborhood has been taken over by wild horses.  The kids love seeing them, but they do leave quite a mess throughout the streets.  As Bronsy says" ewwww."

Silver Lake RV Resort

 This past weekend we went camping with the Garcia family.  They live in Las Vegas, so we tried to pick a place in the middle. It was a bit further for them, but Silver Lake Resort was an amazing place.  It was surrounding by mountains and was so peaceful.  Except we had no cell service,  it made me realize how reliant I am on my phone. 

The kids rode their bikes, fed the fish, and played all day long.

 We had a wonderful time. 

Staying Home

We decided to wait another year for preschool. We were all set to have her go and then one day she said "Mommy I want to stay home with you." She was not the only one that was questioning it, mommy and daddy were not ready to let her go either. We still went to the orientation and ordered her backpack, but then we realized she really was not ready. I did not want to force her to go, I want to make sure it is a good experience for her. She still has two years before kindergarten plus next year Bronson can start too. We are going to take this next year to do some other activities. Tomorrow is our first day of swim lessons. The kids are so excited to go. Then on Fridays we have soccer with cousin Bradley.

Beach Day!!

So last week my sister and I finally took the kids up to Kings Beach and it was amazing. I have no clue why we waited so long to take them. Truly everything about this day was perfect. Next summer we will be there every week!!

They had so much fun playing in the sand and splashing around in the lake.

When we left the kids fell right to sleep. Hopefully we can go again very soon.

Road Trip

We just got back from are first trip in our RV. I truly think it was the best purchase we have ever made. It makes it so nice and easy to travel. We went down to Berkeley for the first UNR game this year. The kids were so excited to cheer on the Wolf Pack. We actually stayed in the RV and my grandparents stayed in the hotel. I wanted to see how we liked sleeping in it, but just in case we were still close enough to a hotel. I had no complaints, everything was great. It is like our mini home!!

On our way back we stopped at Six Flags and it was so much fun. Isabelle loved every ride. For her the faster the better. Our little Bronsy man is a little scared of them but he still wants to ride them. The whole time he just holds on to our arms. (soooo cute)

We did a lot of walking and it was really hot so we had to take an ice cream break.

Looking forward to our next trip!!

Dr. Pepper

The other day we were at the grocery store and I said we need to get Dr. Pepper. Then Bronson repeated it to me. It might just be me but I think it is sooooooo cute how he says it.

Pen Pals

Isabelle was so excited today when she received a letter in the mail. She was thrilled that it was from cousin Carter. What a fun little surprise!! She insisted on writing him back right away. Of course, Bronson wanted to join in the fun too. So tomorrow we will put them in the mail.

Family Reunion

The family reunion was in Morro bay this year and we had so much fun. We decided to all ride down in the Baldwin's RV. The kids loved it!! It made the 8 hour drive fly by. My grandparents had an RV when I was little and those are some of the best memories I have from my childhood. So I was thrilled to take the kids in the RV. It was so nice to spend the weekend with everyone, the kids had so much fun together. We are looking forward to next years reunion!!

So when we got home we looked and looked for the perfect RV for us.

My little big man

It is so funny to watch Bronson relax because I swear every time he lays down he puts his hands behind his head. It makes me laugh. Such a big boy!!

A day at the lake

We finally made it out to the lake this summer. The kids played, fished, and swam for hours. So much fun!!Relaxing on Tata's boat!We didn't catch anything yesterday, but the kids loved it.

After hours and hours Bronsy decided it was time for a nap. We definitely will be doing this again soon. Maybe we will even try camping next time.

ABCs

Isabelle has been practicing her ABCs lately. A few months ago it was the only song she wanted to sing, so I decided to ask her her to sing it for us to see if she still remembered it and she did pretty good. There are a few letters missing here and there, but overall I am still impressed. Isabelle is going to start preschool in September and she is so excited. Me on the other hand, very sad that my sweet baby girl is growing up way too fast. Yesterday I was looking at baby pictures and it truly brought tears to my eyes. Where did my babies go? Anyway, back to preschool, so she keeps telling me that I can't pick her up from school because she is going to ride her bike. She is so funny!! Well I know that is going to be sad day for Bronsy and I, but I am looking forward to spending some one on one time with my little man.

Today we bought the kids their helmets and bells for their bikes, so of course we had to try them out. Isabelle has been doing amazing with riding her bike. Before she wouldn't want to ride her big girl bike, but now she loves it. Bronson is still trying to figure out the pedaling, but he does pretty good. We just have to keep practicing.

Belly Dancing

Isabelle loves dancing and she always try to teach Bronson her moves. But he doesn't have the rhythm like she does, he actually just does what we say. Daddy taught them this dance and he calls it shake your belly, so as you see Bronson shakes his belly. So cute!!

Water Park

Last week I took the kids to Lazy 5 and cousin Bradley came with us too. We had so much fun!!

It was so nice to let the kids run and play in the water. It really took it out of the them.
