6 Months Old

Isabelle is 6 months old, so it was time for another visit to Dr. Clark. She weighed in at 12 lbs 15 oz and 25 inches in length. Isabelle was in the fifth percentile for her weight, she is just very petite. Dr. Clark was very impressed by how advanced she was for her age that he told us to start saving for Harvard. She is going to need a bigger piggy bank!

Cooking for Baby

Since Isabelle is starting to eat solid foods we decided to make our own baby food. It is so simple with the babycook babyfood maker. 1-2-3 and your done! Here are the first few jars from the Buxton kitchen...... watch out Gerber!

She Knows How Good She's Got It

At only 6 months Isabelle knows about the finer things. This is her usual mood after a hot bath, a little baby massage and a fine bottle of Mama's Leche, 09' (the best year). She will lounge around in her robe and lamb slippers and listen to a classic rendition of twinkle twinkle little star, until she retires to her cozy haven of pink to dream her little dreams.

Mr. Frog

Out of all the stuff animals Isabelle has, she really only plays with one.

His name is Mr. Frog. He is a frog dressed up as a bunny for Easter. It was a little gift from Auntie Cammie and Isabelle loves him.

My Little Shopping Partner

Isabelle and I had a wonderful time grocery shopping today, it was her first time sitting in the cart. Instead of playing with her toys she decided to smile at everyone that walked by. I'm sure she loved all of the attention.

I Can't Believe I Usaully Sleep Through This

Isabelle has realized that there is a lot to see on our car rides and its not just a good time for a nap. Ever since this amazing discovery she will not relax in the car, she will hold herself up as long as she can just to see whats going on around her. Her neck must get tired!

My Cousin Carter

This is Isabelle's cousin Carter. He is only one month older, but in size, he is quite a bit bigger. We figure it will be about 2 years before Isabelle reaches his size. Isabelle always looks forward to some cousin time, but since he lives in Washington she only gets to see him so often.

Here, Carter explains his goal of entering the NFL Draft next summer and how he can put in a word for her with the cheerleaders coach.

Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better

Ever since Isabelle saw her cousin Carter balancing on his feet, via his blog, it is all she can think about. So today she insisted we catch her on camera.....just to further the friendly "Cousin Competition."

Maybe they will have a "Stand Off" this weekend when Carter comes to visit!

Nap Time

High Chair Fun

We decided it was time to go buy Isabelle a high chair. She looks pretty small sitting there, but she will grow into it. She seems to really like it!

Gymboree Class

We took Isabelle to her first Gymboree class. Since she is so advanced she skipped level one and went to level two. When we first arrived we put her name tag on and waited for class to begin.

She did so many different activities like parachute and bubble time,

she discovered different tunnels,

daddy explained how to push the ball,

she just loved the colorful balls,

and she really enjoyed playing with all of the other babies. We all had such a great time in the class that we are going to go every week.

Yee Haw

Isabelle was all "cowgirled-up" and ready for the rodeo. She went and watched bull riding and the rodeo clowns. Everybody loved her western look!
