What a Party

You're looking at the morning after! Isabelle had such a blast at her party with all her friends and cake she didn't even get to bed till almost 8:30. Wow, what a wild time!

Pictures of the party will be posted soon.

Now that I'm 1 look what I can do!

Little Ms. Isabelle decided that tonight after dinner it was time. She walked from mom to dad and then past dad and the way down the hall to the front door. By the time we got the camera she was a little tired. But right now as I write this post, she is walking all over!!!

The Dishwasher

Miss Isabelle loves to help me unload the dishwasher. While I was putting away some dishes she decided to climb on up. When I walked back around the counter this is what I saw. My little monkey was just sitting there smiling back at me. I guess she knows how to climb up on things. I have to keep my eye on her at all times!

A Night to Remember

This time last year TJ and I were in the hospital
waiting to meet our little angel!
We were overwhelmed with excitement!
Over 24 hours later Isabelle Marie Buxton was finally here.
Now almost 1 year later...
we watch her sleep in her crib remembering all the wonderful memories from the past year. She has brought us so much joy!
When our little girl wakes up, it will be her 1st Birthday!

Adiós

Isabelle is learning Spanish. She knows that adios means bye bye.
(She does it all the time, but as soon as we grab the camera she gets shy)

You will just have to see her do it in person!

Also, she knows that car keys mean that we are leaving.

When she sees the keys she waves bye bye!

Big Girl Cup

At our last visit to the Doctors office he told us that Miss Isabelle needs to be done with bottles by the time she is one. So since she is almost one I decided I better start trying to transition her from a baby bottle to a big girl sippy cup. It only took one day, she just learns so fast!

Isabelle is a big girl now!

Almost 1, How Exciting and So Sad

Only one more week before our little Isabelle turns 1!

I just do not know where this whole year went.

I guess time flies by when your having fun. That is definitely the truth for this past year.

I am just going through a ton of emotions. I am so excited to experience the next step of having a toddler, but I am going to really miss Isabelle being our tiny little baby. It is sad to think that her first year is almost over. It feels like yesterday when we brought her home from the hospital. It was amazing to see her grow through the year (being able to roll over, her first giggle, sitting up, her first smile, crawling, I can go on forever.) I will cherish this last year for the rest of my life.

I just hope time slows down or I find a way to keep my babies small forever.

The first picture is when we brought her home from the hospital. Now look how big she looks in her car seat. I just had to show this. A big difference in one year!
Her little feet even hang off the end!

Here are a few pictures from the ultrasound:

One Small Step for Baby, One Bitter Sweet Moment For Us

We will remember yesterday for the rest of our lives. Isabelle took her first steps, we just could not believe that our little baby walked all by herself. Prefect timing too, we were both there to see it. It was an amazing moment!
How it happened:
Once Daddy arrived home from work we had family play time. Isabelle decided she wanted to play with his cell phone, so Daddy made her stand and play with it. I sat across from them and asked her to bring me the phone. And that's when it happened. Our little baby took those first steps. It had to be one of the most exciting moments of our lives. At the same time though, it's sad to think that our baby is growing up.

Here is alittle snapshot of the moment. It is a close up, so you can really only see her little legs. We will try to get a better video of her walking.

Her New Talents

Isabelle is learning new things every week.

She walks backwards.

I am not sure how she learned to do this, but one day she just started moon walking.

She is standing by herself.

The last couple weeks she has learned to stand alone, but she would fall as soon as she knew no one was holding her. Now she will stand all by herself!

Getting Ready To Walk

Isabelle has always enjoyed using her little walker, but now she absolutely loves it. As soon as she wakes up she wants to start walking. She will do like 10 laps none stop, take a sip of water and off again she goes. I guess she is just getting ready to walk.

Thank goodness for our long hallway!
